Stanford symbolic systems drop-out. Thiel fellow class of 2014. As a high schooler, interned as chief of staff for Peter Thiel. Since then has been a operating advisor at Y-Combinator and has sold several companies he originally co-founded, including Zynga, Juicero, and Refinery29. He got into crypto via his startup Basis.io, a stablecoin project that raised $133M during its presale. Recognized in 2015 as one of Forbes 20 under 20.

Jerri Alvarez (CTO)

Jerri is the original mastermind architect behind the systems that now power mega content platforms like About.com, Pornhub, and the former Yahoo! Geocities product. After a quick foray into quantitative trading as the CTO of Susquehanna International Group, Jerri started advising crypto projects like Ethereum and Dash on their engineering systems. He holds a masters in computer science from UC Berkeley.

Grace Kim (COO & Economist)

MIT course 6 undergrad with masters in applied math and econ Phd from Harvard. Simultaneously was Co-founder/CEO of her family business, an ed-tech platform for schools called Clever, where she was successful for go-to-market and building up a 50 person team. Grace was the founding Economist-in-chief at Coindesk before working on Koin. She is a lecturer of economics at Stanford on the side and advises IBM on promoting entrepreneurial thinking in large enterprises.

Sarah Sugarman (General Counsel)

Sarah was Managing Director and Legal Director at JP Morgan Chase, where she ran legal operations for equities trading in the Americas. Prior to that, she served as general counsel for Lehman Brothers during its dissolution. In her 20+ years of financial services practice, she has also served as lead counsel at multiple quantitative trading and other investment firms. Sarah received her BA from Yale and JD from Harvard Law.

Thomas Piketty is a french economist known for his recent book, Capital in the 21st Century, whose work focuses on wealth and income inequality. He is a professor at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences and Centennial professor at the International Inequalities Institute, part of the London School of Economics.
